Well, seeing what there is, I think that, since it is for a client and I think they have the reader installed, if it works well, and if not, I will suggest that they do it with images, because it does not work on my laptop.

Thanks a lot.

Could you tell me which adobe you use, the reader or the complete one?
Webbrowser doesn't use either, it uses internet explorer.

But in the cases where I used this method, people generally had the free Adobe Reader installed on their machines.

Well, that's why it works and it doesn't work for me. I'll find out on Tuesday.

I think I remember having to make some settings to people INternet Explorer pdf handling to make it work. Or else I had to tell Adobe to let I.E. handle it - one or the other?

I have adobe pro and I can open the pdf inside your form.
I used your database posted on #16 on page 1 of this thread.
I didn't even had to import the reg file.

Edit:
If you are unsure of the separator in the reg file because of windows locale, Open registery and export any key, open the exported file in notepad, copy the separator and use it in the reg file you want to import.

I think the problem almost certainly comes from the version I'm using of Acrobat.

@isladogs @Isaac @Sun_Force can any of you tell me which version of Acrobat you use?

With one answering me it is enough to know which version I have to download.

I use this:

i have not tested it, adobe XI is x32, how about your OS/MSO?
i think both should be same bitness.
if you have x64 OS, then use x64 pdf reader.

I have an old version of Acrobat Pro dating from around 2008 but no longer have it installed. I do have Acrobat Reader on some workstations but not all. In all cases, I can view PDFs in the Web browser control

I do not understand

I have 64-bit Windows, and Acrobat XI is also 64-bit.

I don't have any Reader installed, just Acrobat.

It's the latest version I believe.
Acrobat Reader is not installed.

Maybe this comforts you.
I just tried your file on a PC in our university with adobe acrobat Reader DC.
The pdf didn't show in Access. Even after adding the registry key, I couldn't see the pdf within your form.

Thanks, @Sun_Force . I'm going to try to download that version.

I don't know what problem I have with the versions of the programs, which always gives me an error. I have also had problems displaying images in Access, until I found a version that did not give problems.

Do you really want to pay for a pro version just to show it in your form?
If it was me, I would buy a second monitor and made it a dual monitor and asked adobe to open on the second one. It's cheaper and it's much easier to work on a dual monitor setup than single. (I have a quad setup :) )

I agree with that comment.
Whilst I 'only' have a dual monitor setup, one of our esteemed moderators here can beat that. He uses five monitors

@zelarra821

Again, my experience with using the webbrowser is that it has nothing to do with Adobe, except incidentally in so much as Adobe Reader may have integrated settings with internet explorer.

I've never tried to use PDFs without even installing Reader, and wouldn't recommend it, so can't really comment further on whatever you are trying to do. Why you would not want to have Reader installed is beyond my understanding at this point.
