View doc file in webbrowser control

Hi all;

This instruction on my form, not preview doc, appears dialog box, open and save, why ?

Me!WebBrowser1.Navigate "c:\text.doc"

Access 2007

Save the word document as htm and then you can preview it.

Me.WebBrowser1.Navigate "c:\text.htm"

Works fine, but to long ago not it was necessary to save in html, there was a change in Access or i.e. ?

Pleased to read it is working for you.

We have been able to save Word Documents as either htm or html for some years now, so you do get a choice.
