Viewing images in access DB (1 Viewer)

Why not have one image control and some video type buttons to scroll through the pictures for that record, below the image control.?

Then it would not matter how many you have?

Right, only the images associated with the main record on frmFind will display in the subform. Doesn't matter if there are 1 or 100 images associated (however, you did say only 4). Size the Image control and subform as you want and set the form to Single or Continuous view and scroll through the images same as you would scroll through any recordset on a form.

And you might consider arranging controls on a Tab control to use less 'real estate'.

After several tries I figured out what you were saying and how to accomplish it.

I now have the subform as a single, high & wide enough to accommodate an image with the control above and the subforms navigation buttons showing so moving through the records I can see the first associated image and navigate through all associated images and add, delete and magnify (open in external viewer). That works exactly the way I want it to. It took me a while to figure out what you were saying for me to do but I got there in the end.

Thanks June7.

I don't have a clue what you mean by arranging 'controls on a tab control'. Can you explain in simple terms what it means and how to do it?

I wish I'd known that when I started. It's so easy to do and would make the page look less cluttered.

I've already got the controls 'grouped' on the main Form and copy/paste and a little bit of moving/resizing won't take long.

I could standardise all of the tab control pages allowing room for additional controls should they be necessary and it also solves other things I had decided not to include but can now that pace/clutter isn't an issue.

It might open up the opportunity to combine some data entry tables in to the main form. Will sort out the display side first then think about SubDataForms on a TabControl later.

Any more little gems like that?
