Hi Folks,
Has anyone else tried MS Access (2003 or 2007) with Vista RTM? I have a Macro that lets a series of 160 or so queries churn thru a large database
(330k records). With the data I am currently using, XP runs thru the queries in about 16 minutes, Vista takes 35 minutes.
The system is a AMD 4800+ with 2gb ram and each OS on it's own WD Raptor and the data is on a Raid0 array. The only difference I can see is that according to Task Manager, XP rairly uses much over 1gb of memory while Vista uses almost all available memory.
I was just curious if this lack of speed is common or perhaps there are tweaks I need to discover in order to get Vista up to XP speed.
Thanks
Bob
