A Christian Charity based in UK needs a volunteer Access specialist of intermediate to advanced level, with good Access, VBA and database design and data migration skills.

This is to take over the volunteer job i have been doing for the past six months. No pay but a huge opportunity to develop skills in a real world scenario, improve your cv and your karma.

What i have enjoyed about this project is complete free reign on the redesign of the app, No-one saying "oh you can't change this table or this form blah blah"

I have developed them a new Access/VBA app using Access 2013 and have migrated data from their old app. I do not have the spare time to do this any more, as another totally unrelated project has entered my life, and I am looking for someone to take over the reins.

You see I don't want to turn round to them and say sorry, I'm off and leave them with an app midway thru development. I want to say I've found someone skilled and willing enough to take over, save them a whole bunch of stress.

The app is a small to medium size application which runs the administration and membership of people and organizations of an Nationwide Christian Organization. Based in Guildford, UK.

Anyone interested

Hello Uncle G,
Thanks for your reply.
Answers:

1. I put in an average of 9 hours per week.
2. Yes, definitely. Wouldn't have it otherwise.
3. Difficult to say, I took it on as an ongoing,
but an end time could possibly be negotiated.
4. Yes, a fair bit.
5. Yes and no.. . There is an old system which you are using as a sort of template
in terms of functionality. Plus a hand written manual. This system is not normalized and was created by someone totally utterly incompetent. Unfortunately it contains
a data set which they insisted was migrated. That was a challenge
And is half done. The tables are now normalized and they have taken their
Cue from me as to the redesign.
6. Probably. An initial face to face probably necessary at least.
They do use Huddle tho mostly.

Thanks again.

Simon
