What is the best VPN out there? I am looking into Nord, but i do not know much about it. Any suggestions or additional information is much appreciated. Thank you.

Just so you know Nord was hacked a while back, there are no guarantee they can keep your privacy safe. You can use a Linux OS like Mint coupled with Tor Onion Browser YouTube here. Good luck, let us know what you decide

Linux and Tor are free and open source.

A VPN is only as good as its level of encryption. Most of the short-key cases are fairly vulnerable. AES-256 is what the U.S. Navy recommends. The AES-128 and -192 are no longer used as often. If your VPN uses shorter keys, you are taking a greater risk.

It seems like knowing what the purpose of the VPN is, would be paramount to researching a good answer.
Some people use VPN's just for disguising and privacy. Some use it so someone remote can access their server. Some don't know why they use it. LOL
