want to have user enter item and have query change on fly

I have a form with one combo box on it and a button. I would like the user to enter the part they are looking for and open up a query that i have already made with just the information relevant to that item. I would also like all the items i have in my database to show up in a combo box. Any ideas?

For part one put this in the Criteria line of your query in the field that you want to filter on:

[Forms]![FormName]![ComboBoxName]

Now selecting an item from the combo box and opening your query will show the selected record(s).

I don't know what you mean when you say you want to show all the 'items' in your database in a combo box....
