Way to restore AutoNumber for ID? (1 Viewer)

OK, I did something dumb -- I accidentally changed the ID field type in tblPeople from AutoNumber to Number. (Can't revert to a backup, either.)

I would like Access to automatically assign ID numbers as I add names to the table, so having ID as a Number field won't work. I also want to keep the ID numbers already assigned.

Thoughts? Please help! TIA.
