Weirdness with combo box

Here's one I can't figure out for the life of me. I have a form that is pulling data from a query. There's a combo box on the same form that pulls data from a table. The table consists of a primary key (auto number) and one field that is text. The combo box is bound to the primary key, but shows the text field in the combo box. When I select a value in the combo box and the record gets saved, the value in the text field changes to match the primary key for the record. Why in the world would that happen?

Check which column in the combo box properties is the bound column

It was bound to the right column, I just had something messed up in the query. Thanks!
