what system is best?

None of the quotes are about economics.

I did not say they were! most of what I said was that they had to do with christ specifically or that they were about work in general, sweat and toil to earn your PLACE. are we on different pages here?

If you want to donate to charities, go out and work so you will have some disposable income.

i said nothing about donating to charities. are you talking about yourself? you mention that before.

Looking for abstract spiritual underpinnings is one of the reasons why Sigmund Freud once was heard to remark: "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar." Given the abysmal lack of education prevalent during the times of the Old Testament (home of Proverbs), putting abstract spiritual symbolism in a simple statement intended for simple, uneducated people seems stupid.

this is why i do not put much thought into philosophers or phsychiatrists. you ever thought that people were not SUPPOSED to be educated back then? if you lived back during that time and you did not have the education you have now, would you have delved into prayer or just sought more education because yyou knew you were ignorant?

The Lord helps those who help themselves. That phrase is not a quote but if you sum up the several proverbs I mentioned, that is pretty much what is being said.

the Lord does NOT always help those who help themselvves. he intervenes when he needs to communicate with his people, and he's always present. there are MANY contradicting passages in the bible. Here's one that I always stumble over:

What shall we say then? Is there injustice on God's part? By no means! For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy. For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I might show my power in you, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills.

that passage is confusing because it is saying that God has mercy and saves SOME, but others he does not. interesting, hiuh?

You are fighting a losing battle here because you have a tendency to ignore the reality around you, or you are afraid to examine reality for fear that you will actually understand human nature better.

i understand human nature finely. i though we already established that. did nt we? nature is nature. the USA is only part of the problem! all nations have the same issue! I just pick on USA because the biggest issue it has is NOT straight evil, but greed that is out of control! would you not agree?

@conception_native_0123 - We will continue to disagree because you refuse to see that you were thoroughly refuted in your argument. By the way, your foreign accent is slipping.

When you fail to recognize the validity of someone's argument, it ceases to be a discussion and becomes a monologue. Note that other members of the forum backed my interpretation. I can beat my head against a brick wall only so long before I have to stop.

well i can not do anything about other people agree with you. am i alone in the argument? that does not matter to me. why not we move on to next subject. or no subject. that is fine. no big deal. i think it goes back to previous upbringing do you not think so?
