Who's using my database?

I know I saw how to do this a month or so again, but for the life of me I can't find it again.

I am in the prcess of developing my database so noone else should be using it, but quite regularly I get messages telling me I do not have exclusive access or that something has been changed. How can I tell if someone else is in the database and if there is someone, who they are?

Also sometimes when this happens (such as now) it makes all the queries, tables etc dissapear. Last time this happened I knew I had saved recently so I just shut it without saving and everything was fine but does anyone know how and why this happens?
