I once wrote a database in Access for work that allowed you to Do a parameter search based on Model using a wildcard that allowed for any part of a model number to be keyed in and the query would pull out all the Matches.. for example
i would run the query and the parameter box would pop up and ask for the model number and if you typed "ma" in then any model number that contained "Ma" would be listed ie
WMA44
WMA76
XMA66
etc....
Now im trying to do this again and not only can i not find it in the help file where i got it from last time but i cant remember exactly how to do this...
I can get it to find them if i type in like "*ma*" into the criteria box.. But how do i tell it to bring up the parameter box ? If i use the usual method (no wildcards) by using [Enter Model Number] it works but only finds exact Models entered.. and if i try and combine both methods it ignores the parameter and finds something completely differently... Im back at work tomorrow but need to get this working tonight if possible ........
Somebody Help Me out........
Thanks
