I have a SendObject function on a report that will convert the report to a PDF and attach it to an email.

However when a co-worker obtained a new computer with Windows 7 on it, (everyone else is using XP), the SendObject function doesn't recognize 'AdobePDF' as a format type anymore. I'm not sure if has to do with Windows 7 or if a certain library isn't loaded or what.

The odd thing is that if I click on the Built in 'Print Preview' button next to the undo and redo buttons up top, it gives the option for the report to be printed in PDF format, but when I leave the formattype blank in the sendobject function, to let it ask the user for what type of format the report should be in, PDF is not one of the choices...

I went through the libraries and all of the libraries that were being referenced were the same as the old computers and I also added all of the Adobe library references that I saw on the list too.

Any explanation/help on how to add AdobePDF to a format type??

I assume that you are using Access 2007. Have you installed all the Service Packs up to SP2 for Office 2007? This should install the PDF export add-in.

I thought the PDF output was a separate add-in for Access 2007 or newer?

As I recall I had to download the OutputToPDF format from MS website this is a feature that can be used in 2007, sadly not recognised in 2003 or earlier.

Does not require the need for Adobe on the host machine.

How can you tell what SP your version of 2007 is?

In Access 2007, the Help > About is not there.

In Access 2007, you have to do this:

Office Orb > Access Options > Resources

Click your heels three times and spin to the right ...:D

At the bottom of the list on the right hand side you will find the version.

That's why I could not find it I only have my slippers on and I'm left handed.
