Word Mailmerge automation

Hi John Cheers for that, I will keep on playing. I have been doing the VBA thing on and off for years but never needed to mail merge anything and word is a mystery to me beyond the basics. Thats where I seem to be falling over. I will let you know how I get on if I get anywhere with it.

All I did was created a mailmerge letter with the required fields like this:

-------------------------------------------------
«FirstName» «LastName»
«position»
«CompanyName»
«Address1»
«Address2»
«Address3»
«town»
«postcode»


31/03/2005


Dear «Title» «LastName»

Letter body text here

Yours sincerely
----------------------------------------------------

Then changed the document type from .dot to .doc but still get various dialog boxes (eg Data link properties, 'Confirm Data Source' etc.)
 
Cheers John, I will knuckle down and try and get this licked today. Or the brown smelly stuff will be flying around a wee bit.
 
Think I've got it sorted. John have sent you a PM about it. I will detail here exactly how i fudged it, er I mean sorted it, when I have finished and this looming deadline has passed successfully.
