I am new to this forum and hope this is how to ask the question.
I have been tasked with creating a Word template for users where key fields can be loaded into an Access db. I did some research and found one source dating back to 2001. Any advice on this would greatly be appreciated. Thank you!

If you use named form fields in the Word Document it isn't too bad. I did something like this about 3 years ago.

This is part pf a Word macro I use the for stuff in Word bookmarks back to Access fields. The access form is called GoToExcel just because I altered a form I use for Access to Excel and back to Access. The DoMenuItem is an old command from Access 95 but I still use it in A2003...I am a luddite:D

With ActiveDocument.Bookmarks
.Item("a1").Range.Select

End With
Selection.EndKey Unit:=wdLine, Extend:=wdExtend

Selection.Copy

DoCmd.SelectObject acForm, "GoToExcel", False
DoCmd.GoToControl "Text1"

Forms!GoToExcel!Text1 = Null
DoCmd.DoMenuItem 0, 1, 3, 0, acMenuVer70

Edit: I did try "setting" the value of the Access field the same way as it is set to Null before pasting but a funny little square appears....it is someting thencurson won't go on.

I guess a lot of what the code you use depends on whether initiating this from Word or from Access.
