I got a form with an underlying query and all works fine on the PC I developped it on (Intel P4 / Windows 2000 / Access 2000) ...
When I try to run it on another computer (Windows NT 4.0 / Access 2000) I get "Function is not available in expressions in query expression '......... Format([Forms]![Afspraken]![Datum],"dd-mm-yyyy") .........'. while on another Windows NT 4 machine with Access 2000 I don't have this problem... :(

Where should I look for what's causing this problem?

Muchos gracias for your replies

This is the no.1-problem with Access 2000:
Check the references in the VBA window. One of them will be marked as "missing".
The only solution is to re-link the defectous reference.
If you want to avoid this problem then you need to make sure that the referenced files have all the same:
-size
-location
-version.
I think that there is an article about this problem in the ACCESS ONLINE ENCYCLOPEDIA (www.unsoftwareag.com).

And where exactly can I find those references for relinking 'em?

Global Settings.

This may not be relavent as the above post has probably nailed this problem, but have you checked the date/time settings for the machine itself? I had a problem with dates and it turned out to be the actual date/time regional settings within windows itself...give it a shot!!!

Was my first guess too but checked it all and everything was set properly...

Big Jim here:

To find the reference that is "missing", you need to be in a code window. Once there, on your toolabr, you will see "tools". Click "tools" and then click "references". In the reference window that pops up, you will see some check boxes. One of the check boxes will say "missing" next to it. That is the reference that has to be reset.

Good luck!

Big Jim
