I can't find a way to reference highlighted text so that I can automate changes. I want to be able to highlight some text in a field, either in table, query, or form view, and then hit a Hot key to be make a predefined change.
For example: Changing text to natural case is StrConv(<sometext>,3). Doing an automatic search and replace runs into all sorts of problems with names (such as Mc*, Mac*, du*). Therefore I want the user to be able to highlight specific text with his mouse and then hit a hot-key-combination, to change it.
I haven't been able to find how to reference highlighted text in a macro or module. I then need to set up a hot-key to activate the macro or module.
A search of the site has not turned up any help.
By the way, I'm using Access 97 for the moment.
Thanks for any help.
