Hello all, I have a odd request for help. I work for a small company and just happen to know a little about Access. So when they need something I have to stop what I'm doing (you know my job) and try and figure it out. Then I have to give it to the "web designer", who I feel is worse off than me. I constantly tell her, I am just giving you the data, you need to figure out how to post it. :)

Ok, thanks for listening to me rant, here's my question.

She (the web designer) needs data to transfer to our website. She has requested the field labels in my table match the labels in her website (grrrr).

I decided to make a macro to run the two queries(1 make table, 1 update table) into a table that is linked to her database that she posts online. But my labels don't match hers.

Is there an easy/practible way to rename the field names from query -> table to match hers? Or should I push for her to change the website to match mine?

Thanks for your help, and just for the record, it's almost 11 PM and I'm really really tired so sorry for the rambling on. (Am I doing it again?)

It would be easy to create a query that renamed the fields of your tables to match hers, and have her use the query as her source instead of the table. In SQL view, the query would look like:

SELECT YourName AS HerName, YourNext AS HerNext...

in design view:

HerName: YourName

Thanks PB for your response. The only problem with that is some one a long time ago made the request to have our company split into two so literally downstairs is on one database and the upstairs is on an entirely different one. (Ridiculous)

Anyway, I have the make table for upstairs, and the append table for downstairs so all the information is in one spot. I guess I could still make the table and then run another query to get the sql statement you suggested. I'll give it a shot in the AM. Any other suggestions will be checking when I get to the office.
