Hi Counting yes no.

Could I please have a straigt forward answer in laymens terms please

I have two tables one called players
One called team. See attached database.

I am having trouble with my query.

My query is showing that I have played 3 won 3 and lost 3 when infact I have only ticked 3 played boxes so how to i get my query to add up all the ticks in specific fields Played Home +Played Away. please help i have spent two weeks on this issue now and still can not figure out ive been told an abs fucntion will do this but who do i write it.

I am Using access 07

Please please help me !!!!!

Hello..:

iif function with the help can get the totals.. Use should be this way..:

Played: sum(IIf([Played Home]=-1;1;0)+IIf([Played Away]=-1;1;0))

with the implementation of the abs function..:

abs(sum([Played Home]+[Played Away]))

Hi I have tried what you have said but it is not working couldf you download the database put the code in incase im doing it wrong then test it works and then upload it for me to use please.

Much Appreciated your help
