I deleted my first posting concerning this question. Maybe it was too involved. So, first, answer me this... Can I email my reports without using Outlook?
Yes or No. If the answer is no....fine, I can use an alternate program, Cognos. (Which btw, if anyone needs help with, I can assist) But if the answer is Yes, please point me in the direction of a reference outlining the steps I would take.

Many thanks and forgive the "second post" breaking etiquette rules.

Unfortunately not yes or no

But tried with aol and could not get it to work, now using with Outlook express

Hope this helps

Isn't Outlook started when you hit File Send? I thought that was why I was getting an error... since my company does not use Outlook, but GroupWise instead. I don't think you should have a problem sending with Outlook should you? Looked pretty automated to me. (But I can't be sure since I can't get past it trying to open Outlook...or at least that's what I think it is doing.)

I think it all depends on what it set to be the default email client on your computer. We use Lotus Notes and I've never had Outlook open 'accidentally'. BukHix is a good resource for emailing questions, check the archives.

Thank you David. I found exactly what I needed by searching for BH's posts. Excellent. Thanks again.

He's obsessed with SendObject in a nearly Talismanic sort of way, but he does have his uses.

Glad you got it working.
