The form contains some text boxes with totals from queries and a command button or two.

The form worked well. Access to the database is restricted, but some 'comedian' has been busy. In normal mode, the form appears to be empty. In design view, everything is there.

'Visible' is yes for each of the text boxes. Any ideas of how everything can be hidden like this, please?

Does the query bound to the forum return any records?

Hi, SJ. No, though it did. It's complicated by the query being fed by queries, but only two deep. (I've been trying to discover why the query that feeds the form does not return values.)

But I would have expected the textboxes to be visible - just showing a fault. Cheers

Can you upload an example of this?

Really good of you to offer to look. Unfortunately, it's restricted. If I can't find an answer soon, I'll just delete all associated with the form and try again. Many thanks, MoP, er SJ.

Sounds like a non updatable query with no records returned... Access being nice vanishes all the text boxes... A problem when you use bound controls :)

Good luck fixing

Vince

Thanks, Vince. Yes, I'll have to think another way round it. Cheers

SJ,

First: I have five queries that filter five fields.

Next: I then have five queries to count up these queries.

Finally: I have a query that collects the totals together to be bound to a form.

Does this sound a very long-winded way round to you? Cheers

Don't suppose you can post the table names and the keys involved (connections between the tables) ?

Maybe someone here can then post an Sql statement to help you ?

Is it a read only form?

Sorry to be so long getting back, Vince. Never a moment to breathe here.

This is the situation +/-

Five queries, and five totals query, and one query to collect the totals and to feed them onto a form for display.

The queries are fed by qryMain from tblMain, but they could as easily come from tblMain.

qryWorking
qry OOW
qryOOW2
qryTransfers
qryInductions

qryWorkingTotal
qry OOWTotal
qryOOW2Total
qryTransfersTotal
qryInductionsTotal

then qryTotals to frmTotals

My relative newness is my major excuse for this clumsy arrangement. The arrangement has worked, but now it doesn’t and absolutely nothing appears on frmTotals.

Any (relatively polite) advice would be welcomed. Cheers
