I have a form that has a field (MedicalRecordNumber) which is null. I have another cascade sub form that is linked to that field. When I add a new record I get the following error:
You can’t assign a value to this object.
The object may be a control on a read-only form.
The object may be on a form that is open in Design view.
The value may be too large for this field.
I press OK and proceed. Everything works fine.
When I do an update everything is fine.
What am I doing incorrectly?
