I'm a retired SQL Server database administrator from Belgium. My specialty was writing stored procedures for high level performance (tables > 6 billion records). My VBA modules contain about 35.000 lines of coding, for more than 40 different applications. My goals are: efficiency, accuracy, consistency and speed. I hope to meet like-minded people on this forum to exchange experiences.

Hi ,
I am not able to reply to any of the messages I am getting.
The "site" tells me it thinks my messages are spam and that I should contact the administrator. (Nowhere o0n the site can I find a facility to contact the administrator)
Please can you help me resolve this issue,

I'm not Dave (who in fact is a pseudonym for the site owner, Jon) but for your info profile messages are visible to all. Better to send a direct message.
Anyway, I'm not a site admin but the likely reason you are getting blocked is that new members cannot include links in their posts, not even links in quotes from other members.
This is an anti-spam measure and affects all members with less than 100 posts.

Why does ms access form I recently added a button for me.allowedits = true and on current I set the vb code to me.allowedits = false interfering with my duplicate macro button returning a pop up message the command or action 'paste isn't available now. In ms access 2019

I would suggest walking your code, but do not know how to do that with macroes.
Perhaps set AllowEdits to False elsewhere, like at the end of your duplicate macro? as to make a duplicate you would move to the next record to paste, so the Current event would run.
You could try testing for Me.NewRecord in that event?

Hello. I just found your post for the instant messaging in Access, I love it and would like to use it in my program, my question is do I need to integrate it in to my DB for it to work , or do I use it as a standalone and code my DB to access it?

I agree it was silly to post, it WAS in the Gaming section. We have allowed other unusual images in non-Access forums. He is showing us his avatar source. If he posts something useful, fine. If he gets bored and goes away, that works too. We will watch for more malicious or commercially oriented posts.

What exactly does this criteria do
Between DateSerial(Year(Date()),1,1) And DateSerial(Year(Date()),12,31)

Looks for dates in the current year.
Could have just checked against Year() on dates and Date()

This not the place to ask questions either. Should use the appropriate forum.
