I don’t care if any for the 24 or so states want to be right to work states, except where I live, but it is absolutely wrong to have to join a union as terms for employment. It takes away from our freedom. Now our so called president is weighting in on it. I despise everything out of that man’s mouth.

"We should do everything we can to encourage companies like Daimler to keep investing in American workers," Obama said, "what we shouldn’t be doing is trying to take away your rights to bargain for better wages and working conditions."
You out right “pants on fire” Mr. So called president. Nobody is advocating taking away right to bargain. Everybody should have the right to vote in a union, or vote one out, but nobody should be forced against their will to join a union. Next thing you know I will be getting a visit from the KJB.

Really? No one is trying to? Hmmm... I seem to recall Wisconsin stripping bargaining rights from unions and now Michigan is trying to strip union rights by forcing members to take lower pay. This is nothing but a legal ploy to again make the rich richer. If it's not about that, how about allowing the citizens to decide to strike it down? Why not have a popular vote on it? If the people don't want the law, then you aren't doing your job by signing it as one.

I must have missed it. Please send me the article where Wisconsin stripped bargaining rights.

Dick;
Were you napping? How could you have missed this?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Walker_(politician)

Your link goes to wikipedia, scott walker, but says nothing about bargaining rights.
I am very aware who scott walker is but with all the media coverage i must have missed the part about loosing bargaining rights. with so much instant news, tho I sincerely know I might have missed it. //that’s called covering my behind <G>

He signed a bill that restricted bargaining rights from unions. Some of the bill has already been thrown out by a federal judge, but not all. It seems more states are taking the same approach, even without taxpayer say so.

Jax old buddy, I know you are much younger than me and have an excellent memory, and my memory is gone to hades, but just in case you left out a teeny weenie detail please sent me a news link.

I am not too good at goggling either. All I find is where he stop public employees. As we all know we can have public employees hold us up from outrages wages because they have us over a barrel, and can run the state bankrupt, then no one gets paid. As evident when Ragan fired the entire air traffic controller.
Surely you can’t be referring to that, act of leadership by walker.

Certainly you can't blame the good govener for what an evil judge did

There's nothing good about him.

Next you'll tell me you actually appreciate all Dick Scott has done to hurt Florida. :D

well I can't say I agree with everthing he has done, but he is way better than Charie Christ.

I heard an interesting fact on the radio today. Eight of the ten states with the highest poverty level in the US are right to work states. mmmm. Why is that? A lack of decent wages? How does that happen in a right to work environment. Can you help me out with that Dick?

Interesting, I have heard just the opposite. If I can find that article I'll send you a link. Of course neither of us trusts the media, right

As soon as I ended the post to you I went to Red State Blog. Right to work was their first article. They are kind of middle of the road not as far right as I would like, but they had a good article anyway.
