Hello guys,

When I am copying my Table and pasting that Table with paste Option Structure and Data, I am getting an Error message like "The field is too small to accept the amount of data you attempted to add. Try inserting or pasting less data".

It is working perfectly when I am pasting this with "Structure Only" option.

I have no idea why I am getting this Error.

I am getting this same Error message when I am trying to Transfer a spreadsheet in to a Table of my Database with DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet Method.

Could you guys please let me know what is the Error?

Thanks

that is VERY odd. Is it an SQL table, or Access tbl?
you could look at the source tbl data types and see if 1 is 'odd'.
you could copy/paste structure then try append qry to locate the 'bad' field.

Are you copying to a new table or an existing table.
Are you right-clicking the table, or doing something else.

It sounds like you have a text field defined as say 100 chars, and you are trying to insert it into a field defined as say 50 chars, and some values are too long to fit

I solved this. Actually the database was saved in a Network Drive and there were 8 sub folders. When I moved my Access Database in to a Subfolder of a Parent folder (e.g. M:\Database\Current Database) it worked perfectly

Thanks a lot for your time and efforts.
