I recently read a blog on carbon capture as a proposed solution, but to me it feels like the wrong direction.
Harnessing solar energy through large-scale farms and residential panels is already proven and should be expanded. Beyond that, we could revive initiatives like “Plant a Tree in ’73”—a simple but powerful idea. Too often, countries are criticized for clearing rainforests to create farmland, especially when the wood is simply burned. Why not encourage them to process that timber into sustainable alternatives to plastics, or ship it out as biofuel instead of wasting it?
Of course, it’s easy to suggest ideas, but far harder to implement them. Infrastructure challenges, political maneuvering, and other obstacles stand in the way.
That said, this forum is full of intelligent, experienced people from diverse backgrounds—people who can spot scams and cut through the usual political spin.
So rather than turning this into a battleground of opposing views, let’s see if we can share some sensible, constructive thoughts and maybe even shape something genuinely useful.
