Nearly right. Instead, the media uses computer chips in your computer to disseminate fake news, but fails to control Republican minds. They only get confused because of the nonsense the media disseminates when compared to the facts. Look at the Russia collusion hoax that caught gullible Democrats hook, line and sinker, a corruption that was blatantly obvious to Republicans.

This reminds me a bit of an argument about the incredible unlikeliness of the Universe existing, because you had to have the physics set up in a certain way to maintain any kind of equilibrium

My usual response to this is simple: The universe exists. We are in it. But the universe was not fine-tuned for us. It came first. WE came second and WE are what evolved to exist in the only universe we had. The "fine-tuned universe" argument is actually just Man's over-active ego speaking.

I do not want to keep the status quo. But, it's here and it's not going away until there is a universal viral vaccine. So we find the origin was a mistake in a Chinese lab, then what, World War 3? Or do we just nuke Wuhan, or the fresh market, depending.
