Death: how best to die.

if you have a terminal disease like some cancers, just walk off a cliff?
That is horrible for the people who have to recover your body and a waste of time for those who search for you.

For me the magic number is 78, because my Dad and his two brothers both died of heart failure at 77 or 78. My Mom died of kidney issues at 78. If I get past that, then I've got relatives who made it into their 90s.

The elderly father of a friend told me he had found the secret to longevity. Have old ancestors. He also said a good day is one where you wake up and you are still above the ground.

He lived well into his nineties and had been remarkably free of any serious illness throughout. He literally died laughing. His son-in-law told him a joke about a politician and he laughed so hard he had a heart attack, I think that would be a good way to go.

I think AI will solve all medical issues. But for me, the health care system is currently just about treating acute disease, rather than preventing it in the first place. When we get hit with the Health Bots attached to the fridge door, they will tell us, "Ah ah ah, not that if you want a long life. Eating that cheesecake will knock off 3 hrs and 22 minutes from your lifespan. Do you want to do that? Have that celery stick, which will extend your lifespan by 10 seconds."

I guess I'll answer the thread's question too. All I know is that I won't die of hypertension. I'm a little heavy now, so maybe diabetes, although I doubt that too.

Actually, it's Season 1, Episode 8, "The Pointy End". His answer to Shagga when asked "How would you like to die, Tyrion son of Tywin?"

Due to the vulgarity, I wont quote it here! Contrary to popular belief, I do have SOME manners...

Season 1 goes to so many years back and I don't remember it. But knowing his character, I'm sure it should be the same lines as in SE8 : EP2. (Was he talking to Jamy or Jon?)
Check it out. ;)
