Many federal prosecutors were dismissed weakening the criminal justice system. Remember that Trump pardoned people for assaulting DC police officers and now complains they get no respect.

Putting the National Guard in places with little crime doesn't do anything. They need to be paid to deploy and the money would be better spent on police and prosecutors.

So, you think they don't get paid for National Guard duty? Will their families be going hungry? How is this situation in DC different from any other natural disaster that they get called up to help with? Granted this particular disaster has been caused by Democrat miss management rather than nature. But we really can't have the capital of our country too dangerous and dirty for foreigners to even want to visit. The state of DC is a black mark on us for allowing it to happen. Given DC's special status, the President acts like its governor. I don't think Trump should be sending the Guard to Chicago against the wishes of the Mayor and the Governor. That is a bit of a stretch. However, I'm sure he can find an appropriate blue city with high crime in a red state and clean that up. I know Trump likes the big splash of the numbers game that Chicago represents but he can use his chosen cities as examples and guilt Chicago, LA, etc. into either cleaning up by themselves or allowing Trump to make it happen.

Look at the crowd of protesters? Aren't they mostly white? Are the white people racist because they are trying to keep the black people living in crime and dirt? Seems like in the case of DC, that's the situation. The city residents are largely black and they seem very happy to have their streets back. I sure would be happy if I lived in DC in one of the poorer neighborhoods or had to take public transit to work every day to see National Guardsmen all around keeping the riff-raff away. Maybe my kids could play in the parks once the bums and drug addicts are cleared out.

I presume you are alluding to me. Too bad you don't know what a dictator is. Trump is simply doing the job of President which is to ensure the safety of the public. The public is not safe in DC and the Mayor and city council are perfectly OK with that. Talk to the city residents to see how they feel about getting their streets back.
