Dedicated Moderator Accounts for Moderators (1 Viewer)

Made this suggestion in another thread and was asked to post it to this forum.


A solution might be to have separate accounts for moderators to use when acting in moderator capacity (which cannot be ignored and aren't used to make any posts other than moderation posts) and their regular accounts that can be ignored, etc. like any other member.

I was going to suggest that as well. It also has the benefit that the mod is more consciously switching hats.
We do this in my company, where I have a standard Active Directory account, as well as a separate Admin account.

Uhh, my company is absolutely nuts about this. I have an SA account protected by 13 layers of crap - SecretServer, passwords I have to copy, cant' log in to SS with an Authenticator code, paste password into another screen, get 2 popups on my phone from OKTA, the world has gone nuts with MFA. It's a good thing they call it Multi instead of 2-factor because I have like 5 factors to get into one system. I'm terrified of switching phones at some point, the hassle I'll go through unparallelled!
