P'se Critque my Dbase

Hello there,

I'm trying to develop a database for an organisation for their partners....see attached. I would like you to take a look and tell me if what I've done is the right thing. Secondly, (I'm just learning Access) I would like to have a query that give a count of 3 how many CBOs, how many NGOs; by 8 (location). Third. Is it possible to have (sub) grouped into expertise?

The mission and vision field was a multiple answers field, is this the way?

While you might find a few takers, this forum usually likes to see a more tightly focused question. "Please critique my database" is equivalent to saying "please do my job for me - but I'll still take home the paycheck." Not that we haven't done such a thing now and then, but take a hard look at what you are asking.

is not exactly what I meant. True I work for this organisation but as a volunteer IT support person looking to branch into dbase development. I sincerely apologise for the harm,

No harm, Samia. It is just that wide-open questions are tough to answer for us. We are ALSO volunteers within the Access user community. Put it in that perspective and consider the number of people we serve. Scan our lists and note that the "Access World Forums" are truly global in scope. We have posters from every continent (perhaps except Antarctica). We serve a LOT of people. The question you asked is resource-intensive and that makes us consider priorities a bit harder. Quick, tightly targeted questions are more likely to get a positive result than wide-open questions. But it is not a matter of harm, just a matter of priorities and the number of questions we examine in a limited amount of time.

Don't take my response as intended to rebuke you (well, at least not strongly...) Take it as a simple, direct statement of fact.

I like your answer, Doc Man. A great many of us have been helped here on the forum. I decided to give a bit back in return for that assistance. But as you said, when giving back, it requires a number of judgments on our part. Asking specific questions is a tremendous help when determining who we can assist. Like many here, my time is voluntary and quite limited, so I have to pick and choose who best I can serve given these limitations. I would hope that those asking questions understand that and will do their part by first researching the archives and the web for the answer, and then (if that doesn't help) - asking very targeted questions that focus on the problem at hand.

I sure appreciate everybody's time and the willingness to help. For that I'm grateful. Maybe what caused the confusion is the query thing, I've finally found a friend whoz trying to show me that, so you can cut that out. My main question was on the multiple variables, was the way I did it the right way without me having problems with the information?
