I am noticing that after I link my related tables in the relationship windown, and save it, then go back, not all my relationships are still there. What could be causing that to make them disappear?

It might be helpful if you could post a picture of the relationships before and after they disappear.

Off the top of my head, I believe this is normal behavior for linked tables, as relationship isn't enforced across the wire, but rather within the database containing the tables them.

I have just tested inserting a relationship using linked tables in my FE database. These survived being saved and having the DB closed and re-opened. The relationship could not be seen in the BE database

Oh. Guess I was wrong. Did you make a relationship between a linked table and a internal table or was it between two linked table?

Two linked tables in Access 2003

disappearing relationships

Okay, I don't know how to "post" the relationships out here for you to see. But now, instead of disappearing they some of the tables show up 2 or even 3 times now. I feel like I'm going crazy with this. And by the way, these are not "linked" tables, they are merely 4 tables created as suggested in a previous post out here and all I did was go into the relationship window to connect my primary and foreign keys.

Use Ctrl + Printscreen to capture your screen as an image then paste into Paint as a .bmp file. You will be able to add this file when you post.

! would like to help you but is is not easy when I cant replicate the fault on my own PC. if necessary post your DB as well.

Which version of Access are you using?

relationships

okay I think I've uploaded the copy of the relationships.....

relationship insert

when I try to upload its indicating "failed". All I did was go into "manage attachments" , browsed to where I saved the .bmp file and selected upload.
