or if you're really game, say you are based in Australia. Then no-one takes you seriously unless it's how to drink from a tinny or cook on a barbie.

I resemble that statement!!!!!!!!

I know that, We lived there for 3 years. In Maroubra. Worked at Prince Henry Hosp, Little Bay (it's probobly closed now)

All no more.

For most of my insurance selling years I have concentrated on dentists, young doctors and medical specialists. Prince Henry was always my favourite place to have the interviews. The army hut style.

The young doctors that resided at Prince Henry were on a real winner.

John Laws recently retired, the end of last year.

No need for the sarcasm Brian, the reasons given for the advantage are pretty thin

They may be thin, you may even disagree with them, but some were stated, therefore your question was not needed, or silly ,or whatever, why ask?

Why continue to ask politicians to justify their actions?

But I think it is interesting to know where in the world the person I am hopefully helping is living.

Does give some ideas as to how quick they will give feedback

Prince Henry hosp had it's own little private beach, we used to go down there for a paddle in the lunch hour with the office girls and nurses:eek:

We lived on Maroubra Bay Rd, and used to do the shopping at Maroubra Junction.

My Mrs used to work at Randwick hosp as a biochemistry technician.

John must be knocking on a bit now, he had a fabulous voice for radio DJ and was the voiceover for dozens of TV ads, in the 70's he used to be on 2UW and did the phone-in show, he was very opinionated.

I also remember going up Paramatta Rd to buy a car - all the car sales places were on that road, I wanted to buy a Ford Falcon, but ended up with a Morris 1100.

Lawsy did his dash when he got caught out espousing the 'benefits' of companies in his news opinions that he was being payed for by those companies in his 'commercial' role. He and Alan Jones both did miraculous u-turns once deals were done

Parramatta Road is still wall-to-wall car yards (& we think the Yanks are bad)

A Morry Million, now there was car

We could always tell how many English people were living in Australia by the number of Morris 1100s that were sold. :D

John Law's ratings dropped right off in recent years and I think that was because he softened his image to become an "all things to all people". Fox News. Alan Jones, Sydney Telegraph and others have proven the best ratings come when you have an extreme approach. Same occurs with selling in general. You can only ever get part of a market so best to try and obtain 100% of your potential market.

And you came back:eek::confused:

Of course - why would anyone want to stay there?
The sole objective was to get enough money for a house deposit - when we had enough we came home and bought a house. Simple.
