The Government of Canada is considering placing Health Warnings on bottles of spirits wine and beer (similar to ciagrettes).

A few of the rejected ones:

Warning: Consumption of alcohol may leave you wondering what happened to your underwear.

Warning: Consumption of alcohol may create the illusion you are better person than you are.

Warning: Consumption of alcohol may lead to the belief people are laughing with you.

Warning: Consumption of alcohol may lead you to believe you can sing or dance.

Warning: Consumption of alcohol may lead to you telling your friends over and over that you love them.

Warning: Consumption of alcohol may make you think you can talk to members of the opposite sex without spitting.

Warning: Consumption of alcohol may make you think you are whispering when you are not.

My brother-in-law who is a religious freak says alcohol is the devils brew.

How do your strong christian beliefs lie on your conscience regarding alcohol? We already know you kill for sport so I was wondering if doing something you like that is at odds from the bible doesn't count in the conscience stakes.

Yes, that's one of the religious fairy tale stories.

I find it odd that some religious persons are so anti alcohol on religious grounds yet others are swigging booze like it's going out of fashion.

Who is right? Why the mixed messages?

There are no prohibition against drinking in the Bible, only against drunkiness.

I realize for most of us thats the same thing. :D

sigh... the word is drunkenness.

Drunkiness is for 21 and under.
:)

I dont remember jesus saying in the bible:

"this is my blood of the everlasting 'covenant', which is poured for many, but if you get drunk.. you going to hell....."
