Hi

I've recently deployed a system across my network. Problem is when users access it simultaneously it crashes. All my forms, reports, macros and modules disappeared etc.

Would creating a BE and FE solution resolve this?

Any other clues would be much appreciated

Thanks

Yes you need a FE/BE solution.

First take a backup of your database.

Then run the splitting tool in access. This will create a BE database. Put the BE on the server. Put a copy on the FE on each users local PC.

That's pretty much it. You can take a look at the "tables" in the FE. You will see that these are no longer tables but in fact links to the tables in the BE.

Thanks Stopher for you reply.

Would this resolve the issue of forms and reports etc mysteriously disappearing?

I can't say for sure although it could well be a reason. I can say that a FE/BE method is a must for multi-user access.
