Concatenation

How do you concatenate two zeros onto the end of a field, such as 345678 becoming 34567800. Thanks.

If it is numeric you just multiply by 100

If text you would use:

[FieldName] & "00"

If you are planning on replacing the current values then an update query would be how you would do what was shown above in the Update part.

Forgive my ineptitude, but when I place [FieldName] & "00" in the Update To: field in the Update query grid and run it, absolutely nothing is happening

Do you have the table in the query for the field you want update? Second, do you have the field selected from the drop down in the FIELDS list for that column?
