Just been playing about in 2007, as many of you know it is not my best friend, anyway I changed a memo field to text type = Rich Text and was able to use the RTF with the little toolbox that appeared when I highlighed a portion of text. This was done via datasheet view.

So I went to the form and changed the property of the control to RTF. But when I highlighed a section of text the little toolbax did not appear, however I could use Ctrl+B, Ctrl+I, Ctrl+U shortcut keys.

My question is is there something I need to do to get the toolbox to appear of is there a setting I need to invoke?

Cheers

Yes you are correct the control is on a sub form. Before I attempt to run the hotfix, does this mean that all users must also run the hotfix on their machines for this to work? or will the fix be cascaded when the new version os deployed?

Just had a flash of inspiration:D What I maight do is to place a button or set a hot key to the control on the subform, that when actioned opens up a popup form with the memo field (RTF) as per the zoom effect. then let the user use the RTF there and when saved it should be saved and displayed as is.

Then again whilst writing this, if I press Shift-F2 to zoom the field will the zommed field take on the attributes of the RTF formatting or not?

Cannot try on this particular m/c as the 2007 version is not on this one.
