    Whats your price?

havent been on these boards in quite some time - thought I would pop on by and this thread peaked my interest so here's my 2 cents... I believe that hourly rate and demand are very, very subjective depending on where you live and the field you work in. Myself, located in the US (Michigan), I...

    A 2000 FE with A 97 BE

Hi Gang! Been a while. I have a group here in my office who are writing a A'2000 FE and they want to link it to a A-97 BE but I'm a little unsure if this will work or not...? Anyone have any experience with this? If there a compatibility issue I should be aware of? Any known problems...

    newbie question

your problem lies in the fact that you are trying to use "order by" to sort the query results - where this would work fine in a text field this does not work with an ole object... the problem is not your asp code - for testing try to simply run the query in access and see if the sort works...

    Convert to Web

I personally like the Wrox books and their book on "Beginning VB.NET" is a good place to start - even though its two years old - its was my first reading and it was very helpful... also VBForums.com is a great resouce (like this one for Access) where you can browse forums and start to pick...

    Convert to Web

Build it in VB.NET and you can use it in either a web browser or as a client on the desktop  .NET Framework is really, really powerful stuff - AND - as soon as MS releases the MAC and UNIX compatible versions of the framework (in development now according to a MS conf I went to...

    Microsofts new direction...

They did mention at the beginning that there were some serious issues in the first build that were corrected with SP1 (as you said) so I think some of that was corrected potentially - it DID seem to be a pretty flexible tool as they were demo-ing it to us (like I said we got the 60 min pretty...

    Microsofts new direction...

I think Access may become Microsofts Red-Headed Step Child (sorry if offended any red-headed step childern posters! ;) ) I just went to a MS conf yesterday on ASP.NET v2 new features and the guest speaker did a 1 hour demo on MS InfoPath 2003 at the beginning of the seminar and all I can say...

    Suppress Delete Query Messages

no better way then a delete query before the code to run the query put this: DoCmd.SetWarnings False then, after the query code put this: DoCmd.SetWarnings True Note* make sure you set the warnings back to true as this will turn off all of the warnings for the entire db and you can do some...

    Arguement Not Optional

ecniv - thanks for the post - I actually got this working yesterday (just forgot to delete this thread or post back that I got it resolved)... For those interested - to fix my problem I had to re-import all of the objects into another new db from the other imported db... THEN it finally...
