Trump Administration Predictions (3 Viewers)

I remember Trump leading chants of "lock her up" with regards to Hillary Clinton
Your memory is faulty. Trump never lead these chants. In fact, at the beginning, he tried to discourage them. Eventually, he got on board with the joke.

@Thales750 if you are frustrated with the wealthy gaming the system at the expense of everyone else, then shouldn't you be happy when Republicans trim waste such as people who are wealthy but still taking advantage of Medicaid, SNAP, and things meant for poor people?
I personally know people who do this, who have way more money than I do, but love to do everything off book and still get food stamps, Medicaid and all the stuff meant for poor people. It is not uncommon.

It is so funny when the President threatens to send people to jail. The comedian-in-chief.

I DID find it funny what Gavin said the other day, lamenting that a sitting president might threaten a sitting governor with arrest.
Forgetting, apparently, all the threats to arrest Trump. Liberals have a short memory, that's why they have to invent new terms for stuff all the time

Trump has been convicted of crimes in court. Sending him to jail is not a joke, but the normal outcome.

How do suggest dealing with off the books work? More IRS auditors?

And if Gavin were to furnish support to people breaking the law, jail would be the normal outcome too, right?

I don't work in that field, but if you want to see how they are doing it, study the bill.
It's not only about cash work, it's about how you set up the rest of your life - marriage or non-marriage, dependents, and who reports what income.
Don't get married, have the man report the income and the woman report nothing = gov benefits ensue.
We need to get people back in the realm of thinking that you get married when you grow up as a normal course of action - and have kids.

I am not sure what you mean by "furnish support". There is nothing unusual about governors going to jail, four recent governors of Illinois have gone to jail, after being tried and convicted.

The government has incentivized the working poor not to marry. To change the incentives, we need to rethink the programs. With healthcare, we need to some sort of universal system, so as to prevent these incentives.

Rethink immigration laws that prevent the US from getting the workers our economy needs.
When you open the southern border and encourage illegal crossings, you set the stage for future failure. Promises are made to a very vulnerable group of people promises of sanctuary and a path to citizenship. Democrats have placed an unrealistic financial burden not only on sanctuary cities but on the entire country. And if that weren’t enough, they obstruct legitimate removal orders, once again giving false hope to those most at risk. Predictably, they blame others for the consequences of their own failures.

As long as people are willing to be divided over this issue it will continue to serve only one purpose. Divide and conquer.
In stead of starting trade war with our next door neighbors the Vilage idiot should have paved the way for more investmen in North America. Multlple birds, one stone.

The trade war was started along time ago, if you weren't so focused on the current administration you might have noticed. We have an intractable trade relationship with most countries because of weak American administrations that have a globalist mentality and a America last view point.

I don't understand your point here. Cheaper products from overseas have improved our standard of living. What objective should the government have other than improving our standard of living?

Trump and the far left wing of the Republican Party have criticized Americans for being too materialistic. AccessBlaster, do you think the government should try to raise our standard of living? https://reason.com/2025/05/02/5-times-the-trump-team-told-americans-to-accept-being-poorer/

You must not believe in capitalism. Where the government is involved in "improving our standard of living", that usually involves a centralized socialist economic system. Is there any socialist country with a high standard of living. Cuba for example?
