Trump Administration Predictions

Worse,.. he gave them away to people who didn't seem to need them, including family members.
Like when Trump pardoned violent rioters and son-in-law's father.

Is your argument that every bad thing done by a Democrat is a baseline from which Republicans can do worse.?

Biden's reckless handling of the border has cost lives. Can anyone put a price on human life or the toll of human trafficking? How many more lives will be lost unnecessarily because of Biden’s and the Democrats’ extreme policies?

Which violent rioters got arrested? The ones that took over Seattle and Portland ? The ones that rioted and burned down the DC area during Trump's 2017 inauguration? I've not heard about arrests let alone convictions.

Your reference to the "toll of human trafficking" is bit confusing. Venezuelans fleeing the failures of Socialism (a quarter of the population!) often died on the way to the US border. Was that Biden's fault? Do you think he should have brought them the US directly from Columbia?

I don't know what the failures of policing in Seattle and Portland have to with pardoning violent rioters in DC? I didn't hear anything about riots in DC in 2017, but such rioters could have been prosecuted by the Trump-appointed US attorney.

Biden flung open the border because Trump had closed it. The result was dead US citizens along with dead, raped, and trafficked migrants, some children. But sure, justify the reckless behavior.

As the number of American citizens killed was very small (immigrants commit murder at lower rates than the native born) the main toll were those killed coming to the US. That could have avoided by allowing refugees to come directly to the US. Is that the policy you favor? Do we count those who die of starvation in Venezuela?

@RogerCooper: So you are OK with letting illegal immigrants into this country so they can kill US citizens?
  • You are also making a logically false argument that the deaths of illegal immigrants can be avoided by letting them come directly into the US. Well if you have a closed border, they would never make that "death" trip in hopes of getting into the US.
  • Why should we let them come directly into the US? We would be assuming massive costs to support these people while here and getting rid of them would be very difficult as they will claim it would be a hardship on them to be deported. Never mind it was a hardship for them to leave their home country. It's a hardship for US citizens to take care of them.
  • Finally, one of the most absurd arguments for letting illegal immigrants into this country is that they could be the next Einstein. Instead of an Einstein, they could, just as easily, be a next mass murder such as Stalin, Mao Zedong, and Pol Pot. Take a look at the articles below. For all we know Ava Moore could have been the next Einstein, but an illegal immigrant killed her. And in the case of Mohamed Sabry Soliman, you apparently have an antisemite. Do you believe that these people should be automatically allowed to enter this country on a free airplane ride?

AccessBlaster was talking about "the toll of human trafficking". My argument for immigration is that immigrants strengthen the economy.

He gave migrants all over the world a false hope of citizenship, all to appease his base. He used them to further his political ambition.
Are you saying that Biden did things the people who voted for him wanted so they would vote for him again? Isn't that what an elected official is supposed to do.

Looks like we're going down the road of diminishing returns.

Everything you say takes on a weaker position. These are 80/20 issues that most Americans have agreed with for years

I am trying to understand your position. It seems to be hard to pin down. Why exactly did you oppose the admission of refugees from Venezuela? You brought up the "toll of human trafficking" but the logical response to that would be to make it safer to come.

Immigrants no longer strengthen the economy. And, has been documented, they are a burden to US citizens who have to support them. Also go beyond the simple argument of economy. Each illegal immigrant cause environmental degradation. They are moving from low carbon footprint environments to a high carbon footprint environment, which means they are contributing to global warming, pollution, resource depletion, and the loss of cultural values, etc.

The only thing I am opposed to is unvetted refugees pouring across our borders, for the purpose of scoring political points. It's not fair to the migrants or the American people.

That is an interesting set of arguments.

1. Immigrants benefit the US economy. I suggest checking out https://www.cato.org/testimony/unlo...gration-fuels-economic-growth-our-competitive.

2. Your are arguing that immigrants by increasing their standard of living contribute to climate change. Keep in mind that prosperity gives us the resources to fight climate change. Poor countries often have serious issues with CO2. Consider India's extensive use of coal.

To the extent economic growth exacerbates climate change, it doesn't matter where it happens. Are you against economic growth everywhere.

3. I am not sure what "loss of cultural values" even means.

When you involve the government in illicit trade it rarely works i.e. prohibition.
Prohibition is a prime example of proving my point. There was a thriving alcohol cartel during prohibition. Where is it now? They could maybe make it cheaper and avoid taxes, too?
Why aren't the cartels making toasters, lamps and cars?

The day of the inauguration. Riots all over. Where were you?
