What os do you want to use... palm or windows on the PDA? Windows would prolly be the easiest as there are VB programs that allow you to manipulate forms etc in much the same way access works. I dont believe there is an access version that works on PDA's though I have not researched it so...

Most likley what is happening is the feilds you are importing and the feilds you are importing too do not mach. One example would be that you are trying to import a string value into an integer column on your table. Other problems could consist of feild lengths not being long enough to support...

Microsoft has a built in security wizard under your tools menu.. you can choose which user has the right to open any form or query from there. I hope this atleast gives you somthing to try.

I have been working on this database for awhile and I thought I would post it to hopefully help out anyone that needs Security/Identification for there dbs. The reason that I wrote this is access user and group security is somewhat lacking and I am not able to find out what group a user is in...

Have you tried rebooting the server?... usually all the temporary files like LDB's are cleared when you reboot.

I tried that ... and it doesnt work as well. There has got to be a way to speed up databases withought having to go to a dedicated db server(sql). I believe it has somthing to do with the connection, once that connection is established to the BE you get the same performance as local tables...

This is why I sugjested two mdb... But if he needs the same Real data. He has to sync the two tables and that will probably cause alot more overhead then I personaly would like. Even if deleting/copying the table takes awhile this isnt somthing that has to be maintained. The user could do it...
