Gretchen, When you say link...have you linked the tables in the Master db? In other words, have you gone to: File>Get External Data>Link Tables to create the links in your Master DB? :)

On the toolbar in Access is a Tools menu...choose Startup from the menu and choose Switchboard as the form to open on Startup. You may also want to check the box to hide the database window on Startup. :)

Nope! I don't think so. When you change the record/control source of the new report to Query B it will not know what to do with all the fields in the report...it will be looking at QueryB and looking for information that is identified as QueryA... You'll probably just need to delete the old...

Monthly report Sounds like something in your query is restricting the returned records to a particular month. If you are using the 'month' function someplace in your query, it won't really matter what date1 and date2 are because it will only pull records from the 'month'. Give me some more...

Are the letters/reports run from a query? If so, you need to make sure the query includes the loan number...and the form you are looking at their data on should have the loan number on it. When you click on a button to run a report make sure the query's loan number field is equal to the forms...

Hmmm... I suppose that you could use a conditional phrase in your report to select specific records to sum. However, the question then becomes where to put it. You might be able to put a field in the footer for group 3, for instance, that would sum the fields if their "group" is in 1, 2, or 3...

Grouping Is there some field that groups these items together...like a category. I presume you report groups on the items themselves but in order to get a sum of them as aggragates you will need to have a higher level group...sorry if this sounds mysterious. Dennis:)

April, Are the "AutoNumb" and "ID" fields joined in the query window? What field are you trying to update? If there is a join between the two fields and you are trying to update one of them...it won't work. You'll need to use some other criteria to join the tables. If you have some more...
