Hi all.

It seems recently something has changed in Windows 10 64 bit which does not allow an Access 2003 runtime installation generated by the 2003 package wizard to complete the install.
Have tried the commonly suggested fixes used for other programs without success such as

msiexec /unreg
msiexec /regserver
regsvr32 vbscript.dll

Also tried starting the windows installer service and running the install as an administrator without any joy.

If anyone can shed any light on what is happening would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried running it in compatibility mode?

Any particular reason you are using the 2003 runtime? The RunTime engine is now free and has been for a few version so unless you have some problem with the A2019 version of the runtime, I would ditch the 2003 version. You don't have to convert the app. 2003 is still supported but it probably won't be for much longer. Consider converting sooner rather than later.

Maybe a full installation of A2003 is permitted, but not the runtime.
