Question Access 2007 and Sharepoint Painfully Slow

Sorry for yet another post!! You will be pleased to know that I finally have a working solution for my database with an Access 2007 front end and a Sharepoint 2007 Back end (6 tables, each with no more than 600 records). My only small problem now is that Access takes ages to load with the sharepoint lists and updating is slow too. This was not a problem on my home PC – the database loaded the lists in around 10 seconds but at school loading the application takes 90seconds plus and then a good second or two for each edit or update. Any ideas why it would be so slow? Sorry to continue being a pain.

Yes, sorry to say that use of SharePoint and Access 2007 or prior is very slow. It just is and fortunately they have made good strides in improving that for Access 2010 and SharePoint 2010, but it just isn't there prior to that.
