Access 97 Runtime errors (1 Viewer)

I have created an access 97 runtime version that works on machines with the following on:

Office 97 with access 97
Office 97 without access 97
no office at all, and no access.

The problem ocuurs when I try to install the runtime on a pc with office 2000 on, without access 2000.

An example of the errors is "wininet.dll in use by another application, close all other applications"

There are no apps open at all.

Any ideas please?

Are you getting the error messages only during the 'installation' of the runtime db?

If so, just choose the ignore option and allow the installation to continue. The runtime should work ok. I get different errors depending on what version of Windows in installed when I run the setup.exe for installing runtime db's. The errors only mean that Windows is using one of those dll files even though nothing 'appears' to be running but the dll is in use in the backgrouund by Windows.
