I just installed 3 addins for Access: codevba, smart indenter, and mz tools. MZ tools is great, fyi. So I was wondering if there are any more free addons worth installing.

I had issues actaully trying to install it, but now that I see it's just a db, yeah, I like it too. I like the form template form though, the one that lets you edit all of your form properties. Although when I try to open the personal object library, I get an error at:

Code:
   .Open "SELECT * FROM [" & c_Mdb_PersonalObject & "] WHERE 0=1", DataMdbCon, adOpenKeyset, adLockOptimistic

I am thinking it is because the installer did not work for me, which is probably b/c I have A10 and W8.

Why would you be using Windows 8 for anything right now. It is not even in Beta. That alone would be a serious concern for anything working properly.

EDIT: Perhaps you meant to say Windows 7. But regardless, Windows 7 and Access 2010 I have and V-Tools installed fine for me. Did you follow the right instructions (read the readme document)? And did you download the right version?

Yes, I meant 7. Readme? I'm supposed to read the readme file? Haha! Okay, I got it. I was not opening as admin correctly. I like it, thank you. Just curious, did you see the app I made Aphrodite? Its in the sample db forum.

MZ tools is my favorite so far, because it lets you assign a shortcut for your error handling, and it has the ability to read the name of your module or procedure. I use the name of the module and procedure inside my error handler to log a note and tell me where the error is. It is very nice to not have to do that manually! Saves so much time.

Smart indenter is nice too. I get too caught up in what I am doing to worry about indenting. I usually only bother with that after the fact, while I am debugging. With this, indenting your entire project is as simple as a right click.

Any more for me to check out?

i didnt know about codevba but mztools is my favorite. however i can't install it on the laptop i received from the company i work for a this moment so i have written some myself
It is in the code repository. I'll check out your Aphrodite.

V-Tools code is free to use and i will try to insert my own code into v-tools.

I am almost ready to put up a new version. Perhaps in the next week it will be up.
