Access denied to copying Database Folder

Hi all,

I have a database stored in a folder, and this folder can be accessed through a Network.

Is there a way to protect users from copying this folder to other areas? That is I would like to restrict access from users copying the folder where the database is stored.

No can do.

In order to use the database, you must be able to read it. And that is all you need to be able to copy it, too. What you ask is, in essence, impossible as you asked it.

You might look through the SEARCH functions of this forum about securing the database so that you have to join the right workgroup to be able to USE the database. But you will never stop it from being copied.
