I am creating an Access report to print wallet-sized membership cards with a photo on them.

The photo quality is bad in Print Preview and bad when it prints out.

However, the photo looks great when I display it on a form.

In the image control's properties I have tried Stretch, Zoom, and Clip to no avail.

The photos are sized much smaller than their original size which would seem to be a problem but why do they show just fine on a form?

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

JHB - thanks very much. That worked fine for previewing the card before printing and greatly improved the quality of the image on the actual card.

This is a special card printer, just for cards. When I print any image on it using Paint, the image that prints on the card is beautiful. However, when I print the image via Access the quality diminishes.

Do you have any ideas about this?

Thank you in advance.

What file type does an image have - (jpg, bmp ...)?
Try to put in a image with the bmp file type in you database, to see if printing out the image is better.

These are jpg's but there are already thousands of them so there's no going back.

It was only to find out if bmp file type print out better.
I think the jpg could easy be converted to bmp using some VBA code.
