Access not closing properly

I have an Access 2003 app runing on win 7 pro 64.
Sometimes after quiting the app it cant be opened again, neither by double clicking the link nor the mdb file. Nothing happen.
It can be opened if I open access and open the db from it.
Looking in the taskmanager I can find some traces of Access in the runing proccess (not in runing apps)

Just a thought - It may be that you have code in a form open or close event which is actually hiding the app so when you try to open it again it is opened, but hidden

I never had a similar problem with this app on other machines.
This machine really make me crazy :banghead:
I tried to copy a new version over the older one but when I open it I still get the old version (I have a module where I write the version number). Even tried to delete the old mdb restart the machine and copy the new one, with the same result :banghead::banghead::banghead:

The mdb was compiled before. it's a customer's machine, so I don't wish to compile and do any Access job on it.

The problem could be in some other Application if you have some type of automation that opens an Application Object. (For example, Excel or Word.) There was a book that came out some time ago called "Everything I Need to Know, I Learned in Kindergarten."

Basically, with application objects, the rule is "If you take it out, put it back. If you open it, close it."

What you might need to do is see if on the machine in question, an application object has some setting that causes objects to be persistent. If you can't close the application that you opened, there is some question as to whether Access will close properly either.

This system has a new frash win7 system now.
It had a modified Del's sytem.
I'll install office and my app from scratch. Hope it will be OK
