I am currently working with an issue between the US and Japanese versions of Access 2000. We are using a database that was built with Access 97 and functioned properly on US and Japanese versions. When we went to 2000 we met a problem. If the 97 version is converted with the US version to 2000, We get errors from the Japanese version that "an error occured when communicating with the OLE server or ActiveX control" and the function does not operate. The same happens when converted with Japanese version and opened with US version. Does anyone know a fix for this problem? Your help will be greatly appreciated.
